Reading Update
How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X Kendi. This is not a “how to” book. It’s an autobiographical account of the author’s journey from racism to antiracism, with many asides setting historical context. It’s good, but it is not an easy read, in the somewhat tangled way books with an academic bent can have.
A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota ed Sun Yung Shin. Excellent, eminently readable collection of thoughtful, thought provoking essays.
Black History in Its Own Words by Ron Wimberly. Slim collection of illustrated quotes from Black history makers.
