Linkity from the aftermath of ten inches of snow (quickly melting)

Polly, trying to entice me to scritch her chin. (Of course I obliged!)

Harry, deliberately not looking at me.

Harry, looking out the window, and Polly, looking at a (hopefully) imaginary bug.

  1. Imma just going to sit here and silently bang my head against my desk. Too much WTF.

I can’t decide which loft bed I hate the most – the one in the narrow house or the “absolutely not” one. The first is much too claustrophobic, but at least it has a ladder. Maybe the owners of the other one had a pet chimpanzee who used the swing chair and rope.

  2. We’ve been so hot (records in the 90s for about a week) in SF, it should have been enough to melt all your 10 feet of snow from 1600 miles away. You should probably thank us that you don’t have 20 feet of snow.

    Ahem. I’m waiting.

Cannabis/Cattle Ranch? I bet they have a great recipe for Corned Beef Hash! Groans will be accepted in lieu of applause.

If you don’t like the TAXidermy, wait ’til you see the TARIFFidermy. Applause will be accepted in lieu of groans.

Admittedly, I’m not up on the latest NY decorating trends, but why does the Deep Pockets dining room have a noose instead of a chandelier? Is it to “greet” the meddling insurance folk?

Very disappointed to learn that the 3 small cottages were not of straw, sticks and bricks. Oink Oink.

I could tell that the Narrowest House In Bristol, England used to be a hay store, even if they hadn’t said so. Because, the closer I looked, the fodder I wanted to get away from it.

Cash will be accepted lieu of Groans or Applause.

And I’m still waiting for that Thank You. Ahem. Ahem.

  3. I’m not sure how this was sitting unread in my open tabs for so long. I could have sworn I’d already read & replied to it, but refreshing my tabs say otherwise.

Okay, I’d seen the Strange Practice book series around, but didn’t realize it was COZY. I’ll have to see if I can get a copy from my library.

Wow, that pot ranch has a little bit of everything. (Except sheep. But I bet that could be fixed.) And that safari park! I love that they knew that the animals were a better selling point than the house. (I liked what I saw of the house, but the animals were better.)

In that WA house, they should take out the taxidermy to provide more space for bookshelves. I would faceplant into those pillars too, maybe while holding dinner (that would also get plastered all over the pillar).

That odd Topanga set of cottages looks like a great place to host a small retreat of have guests over a lot. Weird for just living in, though.

Oh god—that swing chair & loft & ceiling fan is a death trap. I guess at least those death stairs in Cairo are narrow enough that you can brace yourself against both walls? Artistic stairs are a bad idea, though. JUST MAKE STAIRS.
