  1. Quite nice MCM is indeed quite nice.

I was reading about that AI prescription thing this morning. Don’t know what to think about that. At least it’s for meds patients have already been taking, and not for any that can be abused. I’ve gotta say, though, that ChatGPT was incredibly helpful in understanding my weird sleep study results, while my doctor absolutely was not. He basically just said “you don’t have obstructive sleep apnea, goodbye”. And while it’s true that I didn’t have any obstructive apneas, the test clearly showed that I do have sleep-disordered breathing, it’s just not typical OSA. That doesn’t mean it can’t be treated. I plugged all my results into ChatGPT and it gave me what appears to be an accurate evaluation of what really is going on, and validates the symptoms I kept telling my doctor about that he just ignored. Obviously I need a new doctor.

  2. I saw that news and thought of you & hoped you & yours were all doing well. I’m sick of this BS too.

I appreciate that the “40% of Americans did not read a single book in 2025” article tried to reframe it as “60% of Americans read at least one book in 2025” but I’m having a hard time seeing good news in some of those stats. I get it, especially with the financials thrown in, but still. (On the other hand, I have to—sadly—accept that not everyone enjoys reading.)

Oh, I really like that Tudor. And I like the MCM with the boulders, too! (Though the light fixture would be the first thing to go.) That witchy cottage might be my favorite of this whole post, though. It’s really lovely.

That Seattle house is pretty, but I’m not sure that I would want to live in a floating house that wasn’t a boat (and therefore couldn’t move in case of emergency). I’m not sure about that actual houseboat with the icky shower, though.

I kinda like that medieval-ish castle, but it’s huge! (And honestly, I’m not sure I would actually want to live in faux-medieval decor.)

Eeew. You’re right, I have lots of questions about that one house. Everything looks crooked, but it can’t actually be that crooked, can it? And why are there exposed holes in the ceiling? And why are some floors lovely and others horrid? So many questions.

It’s really bad that we’ve gotten to the point of looking at Death Stairs and thinking, “at least there’s a railing.” My upper arm strength would be really good if I had to use any of these on a regular basis, since I would be practically pulling myself up via the railing instead of trusting the stair treads.
