  1. Gothic Tower and Cute Cottage: I want both of these, side by side. The tower will be my home. The Cottage will be the home of a wonderfully Wicked, and incredibly HOT, Warlock. Every once in while, we will be joined by a Charming, Valiant, BeastyHunky, but blissfully dimwitted Prince. The warlock and the prince will, fortunately, be allowed take the elevator to the top of tower. Because my hair is about 173.25 feet too short for this fantasy.

They Had Space Stairs: I do not care if stairs try to kill, maim, slice and dice, decapitate, electrocute, disembowel, stone, draw and quarter, Iron Maiden, Peine forte et dure, asphyxiate, drown, poison, maul, Pit and Pendulum, impale or otherwise cause me similar slight discomforts.

BUT, and I am unanimous in this, I will not tolerate stairs that force me to diet!

  2. Fairy tale cottage is adorable! I do like the toaster house but completely agree on the bookshelves. Do not like creepy figures house, even without the creepy figures.

Laughing over the LV bunker house. The photo of the kitchen that shows the table and chairs “outside” reminds me of the movie “Blast from the Past” which I recently watched during an afternoon of boredom. (It was surprisingly not bad.) I wonder if they based the idea on this house.

  3. I love the story about the rose! I want one (or, if I can’t get that one, a climbing rose) for my yard. I have a rose tree (not a bush) that I’m trying to train to a trellis, but it really doesn’t want to.

I have thoughts about the Gothic Tower. First, I would LOVE it! So pretty and great renovation and you can’t beat the view from the rooftop terrace. (Especially since it has an elevator.) (Though the stairs would replace the need for gym cardio.) Second, I’m a Californian. I can’t help but look at that and think, “NO, what about earthquakes?” So maybe I wouldn’t love it after all.

The fairy tale cottage is cute! I don’t like the optical illusion bookshelf house—not the bookshelves, not the exposed hanging light wires, just nope. The Santa Barbara house is indeed strange, but OH MY THAT VIEW IS LOVELY.

I’m not even sure the figures are the worst thing about that NY house, but I wouldn’t want them to come with a home purchase. Though, I don’t want the other NY house either… and it’s strange that of all the “stairs that could kill you” posts you’ve shared, the only confirmed “stairs that did kill someone” look so friendly (if way too opulent).

I don’t know why I continue to be amazed at what’s inside the Las Vegas houses you find to share with us.

The decor may make *you* go “huh.” I say, “BURN IT ALL!” Do not like. *shudder*
