- Overdesigned.
- Why would you turn a pole barn into a house?
- Ridiculous.
- Why.
- Seriously, why.
I prefer Mexican Grey squash to zucchini. They used to be about $1 cheaper per pound, but the gap is closing.
Lovely Woodwork deserves to be mine. The model who posed for the fireplace embellishment also deserves to be mine. Keene NY, sadly, does not deserve me.
I kept waiting for the the WTFery to start. Aha, says I, surely this caboose will be the end of the good stuff (caboose … end – see what I did there? I crack me up) but it wasn’t that bad.
Most of these are pretty nice, and the ones that fail, usually do so more from the decoration than the buildings, or boats, or cabooses themselves. Usually.
As for the multilevel room, I think it was meant to be a kind of architectural conversation piece. For example:
Person A: Did you see that hideous “multilevel” room in Jerry’s
house?
Person B: Yeah. It looks like he’s been mixing his bathtub gin with thrift shop acid again.
Person C: It’s so stupid, and ugly, and useless, and such a total waste of space, that if it were a person instead of a room, it would be DJT.
Lots of head scratching in this one.
I do love the manor house, especially those arched doors. But even on 8+ private acres, I really wouldn’t want to live in a house with bathrooms and bedrooms that have huge, uncovered windows, even if they are lovely.
I’m the tail end of Gen X, but yeah. So many times.
I don’t know much about TN, but I think I could put up with a lot for that lovely house + library. And the price isn’t too much higher than what we bought our CA home for. ????????
I also love that 2-house Taos property! Looks like the perfect solution to having in-laws move in.
That Japanese tearoom inspired one has some inspiration showing, but the exterior is weird. And I personally don’t think “lilac” when I think of Japanese tearooms.
The Caboose is neat, and it would be fun to live in… except that I need a kitchen. No kitchen, no deal.
That Pueblo house is lovely! I’ve been to Las Cruces, back in my college days, and I remember the weather being way too oppressive for me even in the spring. Still, lovely house. Even with the weird stair thing in the shower.
Oh look. Another weird Las Vegas house. I’m honestly not surprised at the location, though some of the figures were definitely surprising. (Though I guess why not dress up a T-Rex in a feather boa?)
Not many death stairs this time around, but they’re as unbelievable as ever. The multi-level room strikes me as something that would be useful on stage, so that actors in the back can still be seen. Not sure what use it would have in a house, though.
(Okay, weird. I pasted in some emoji, and they got turned into a bunch of question marks. That was supposed to be a sob emoji, though.)
