That converted fortress is pretty, but I keep thinking of all the closed-circle mysteries set on secluded islands. (Not to mention sea level rise.) I would have so many nightmares if I tried to live there…
I hope no one renovates that pretty house in GA, too. It’s so pretty as is! The only thing I would change is the kitchen island… for some reason the look of it bugs me.
I wasn’t interested in the converted Masonic lodge until I saw the included pipe organ. By contrast, I was interested int he MD castle until I saw the distinctly not-a-castle interior.

How do you block off death stairs from your toddler? You don’t. I don’t have a kid, but even I know that the minute you don’t want your kid getting into something, THE KID IS ALREADY THERE.
So many dumb stair designs. But at least that one that’s a staircase cut out of a log can be kinda used as a ladder instead.
