Mini-Chaos

I tie-dyed another onesie, this time in Project Spectrum purple. This was immersion dyed using Rit Purple and three rubber bands. My dye pot is black enamel, which makes it hard to tell when the dye is completely dissolved – hence the darker flecks.

RheLynn of KnitOwl sent me a wonderful package last week. She included a very cute button – hmm, wonder why she thought of me??

She also made a wonderfully cute and clever softie – go check out her Etsy store for more of her softies and art!. Allow me to present Chaos and his “mini-me“:

“What the…???!”

*sniff* “He sure is cute. His eyes are greener than mine. I hope Mom will still love me just as much.”

Not to worry, Chaos! Mini-Chaos is fabulously cute (he even has an embroidered black nose for authenticity), but he doesn’t purr or play fetch! Of course, he also doesn’t meow incessantly trying to will me to feed him 45 minutes early, either… Hmm.

  1. I laughed out loud when I saw the back of the onesie. Bullseye!

Mini-Chaos is very cute. How’s Chaos doing with his little brother?

  2. Must be too early for sane thought.

    Process going:

Oh, cute onesie. I used to LOVE tie-dyed onesies when Bren was the age to wear them. Must remember that next time I need to put together a shower gift package.

    Isn’t that Chaos softie cute?

How does she get Chaos interested in things? The Cat never investigates things. Especially in the summer. The only thing she can be bothered with nowadays is her food dish…

I wonder how Chaos would look in that onesie…

(this is the point at which obviously the brain-train derailed…)

  3. love the onesie! particularly the backside 😉

as for chaos, there’s only one original (even if the softie is a cutie, too)

  4. Dark flecks in the oneie? I would consider it an “intended design element which can not be duplicated” hence making it a one of a kind unique gift.

  5. I love the purple onesie! July is definitely your month – purple things will abound, I’m sure!

Good thing Chaos hasn’t taken the little guy as competition, yet 😉 Glad you liked him and thanks for the link too!

  6. I love the onesie! And the flecks. The flecks are cool.

How many mini-Chaoses do you have? You need to take a picture of the whole family together.

  7. I love the purple onsie! The dark flecks are just design elements.

The mini-Chaos is cute but it isn’t a replacement for the real thing. It might make a good threat early in the morning though. 🙂

  8. hehe – that onesie is saying something!

Well, it is only right that Chaos has a mini-me – he is taking over the world after all!

  9. ha! i knew hank and chaos had more in common than black good looks. hank has lately been obsessed with playing fetch. he like to use the ring on the outside of milk caps. he brings it to me and drops it right in my hand and waits for me to throw it. this is cute at 7 o’clock at night, but much much less cute at 7 o’clock in the morning!

  10. That is a great onesie! I bet chaos is happy he doesn’t have to model it! My dyepots are dark too, so I got white plastic spoons to stir with, so i can tell if the dye is exhausted or not.
