  • On Saturday, the movers (Tyler and Tyler) moved the bulk of my worldly goods from my old third-floor condo (no elevator) to my new condo 6.5 blocks away… on the same street.
  • Hey, I like my neighborhood! 🙂
  • And I am soooooo glad I hired movers (a first for me) – it was worth every penny.
  • But oh, I forgot how time consuming it is to unpack and find a place for everything…
  • Need to buy more shelf lining paper – have so far gone through around 55 feet of the 18″ wide stuff and I am not done.

  • May doesn’t sit on my head, but she’ll make happy paws in my hair when I’m in bed, which takes bed head to whole new heights.

Reading Update
Undone Deeds (Connor Grey #6) by Mark del Franco. This is a book that seemed to be trying too hard and simultaneously not trying hard enough, as the first half was slow and the second half was hella fast. Refreshing your memory of Celtic mythology before you read it wouldn’t be amiss.

  1. Congrats on the move, Chris! Staying in a neighborhood you love, but moving to a better space, makes sense to me. 🙂 Love the idea of a purple chaise lounge! I’ve always wanted a chaise lounge, but don’t have one yet. 😉 Your kitty loves it I’m sure … despite “the look.” LOL

Thanks for linking up my Flourless Chocolate Quinoa Cake! Every time I make it, I’m surprised how delish it is.

  2. I just moved too! What a big deal. I couldn’t unpack my office until I knew where my internet was coming in, and I didn’t prearrange the service so that took almost two weeks. Argh! Congratulations on your move. It’s not a decision to be taken lightly, that’s for sure.

I hired movers as well and they were FAB. I would never do it any other way. Men with strong backs can haul all my stuff for me, thank you very much.

  3. The post and comments on how book blogging has changed were really interesting. Plus, if dog hair can be used for knitting I’m sure cat hair can…your mission,Chris, should you choose to accept it… 😀

  4. I know I’m late to the party, but yay move! Only now you need to give me your new address so I can mail you kitty treats. *innocent look*

Also: Diagonal Alley on Street View is cool!

Also 2: I would rather hire someone to line my shelves than to do the actual move. You are very brave to line the shelves yourself.
