My completed Giant Square Scrap Blanket, made with many bits of leftover sock yarn (all with at least some blue) and knitted on 3mm needles (US 2.5). This was a gift and it was much appreciated. Which is good, because by the end, I was using 150 inches of circular needle cable and I could’ve added more… No idea how many stitches I ended up with, but it’s about 3.5-4 feet across. Used two-stitch i-cord to bind it off.

- New Mexico townhouse that desperately needs to be renovated. The first couple of pictures make it look as if it was a diner.

A couple of very nice houses here. Love that nice MCM in Woodland. Is it just me, or does that seem very reasonably priced for California? Seriously, that house would sell for more than that here in the SLC area.
I love the look of the Minimalist house, but not sure I’d want to live in it. I’d feel too exposed.
Agree on the gray cabinets/blue ceiling, but otherwise I kinda like that house.
The Quonset hut reminds me of my parents. Did I ever mention that when my dad was a grad student at the U of Wisconsin, that my parents and older sister (a baby then) lived in a poorly insulated trailer with no running water? There was a Quonset hut for the students to use for showering, laundry, washing dishes, etc. People washed their dishes in the same sink that they bathed babies and washed out diapers. My mom said in the winter the water in the diaper pail would freeze overnight and she’d have to break the ice. When she washed sheets, there were no dryers so she draped them over the furniture to “dry” (which meant the water froze and she shook off the ice). They even had to disconnect the car’s battery and bring it inside every night. I was actually conceived there, but fortunately my dad graduated and they moved to an actual house in Pennsylvania before I was born.
