- New releases: Smart Bitches (romance), Book Riot (best out this week, YA)
- Linkity from Smart Bitches.
- A post about clothing that made me think.
- Pumpkin cream cheese muffins.
- Very nice MCM.
- Cute one in San Francisco.
- I love the interior but the exterior gives me quonset hut vibes.
- Interesting late MCM.
- Castle-esque but one story, which seems wrong.
- Work at the bar, live in the upstairs studio.
- Comes with a freshly renovated movie theater.
- This Utah mansion is over the top in a whole new way. Hedge maze, arcade, slides and pipes, trampolines in the ground, hobbit house connected by tunnel…
- A “flounder” house and barn.
- Opulent… split-level ranch.
- This sort of interior color scheme always seems very Bat Cave to me.
- I have to wonder if they took out too many walls during the bad remodel.
- Way too much white. Also, wtf is up with the fireplace in the kitchen? It looks easy to walk into.
- Eeep.
- Yikes.
- Sharp and too thin.
- Whoopsy.
- No.
- Just no.

I love that first MCM. I’m packing my bags now.
I wonder if that Quonset-hut-style house was actually a Quonset hut. There was a monastery in Utah that was built out of them after the war because they got them cheap. This was built in 1949, so maybe? Looks very nice inside, at any rate.
Wow, didn’t expect the movie theater home to be so nice.
Hahahaha, Utah. That house is (or was) owned by Lennon Ledbetter, who apparently bought it at a steal when it went into foreclosure. He and his family made a fortune in the cult of Amway and he moved on to other lucrative MLM opportunities. I believe there was some scandalous stuff about him, his wife, divorce… don’t know the details or if any of it was actually true, but I think maybe his ex-wife is still in business with his parents, while he’s doing other stuff?
Yikes! = When “Stairs that can kill you” team up with “Carpet that makes you want to die.”
Neat post on clothing. I, too, *AM* a person with a sewing machine. I’ve made myself a few tops lately, but I’ve also learned that I’m currently better at sewing than I am at tailoring, so I need to practice that more.
I really like that SF cottage, especially the yard. Plus, it’s on Shakespeare Street? Sounds lovely. (Though small.)
Okay… a one-story castle? Odd. But it honestly does look & feel like a castle, which is awesome! But it’s in Australia, which comes with spiders-that-kill-you, and that is not awesome. I have so many mixed feelings about that house.
That Utah mansion can’t decide what it wants to be. Hobbit house or Japanese tea room? Video arcade or sports facility? I guess for nearly $30mil you don’t have to pick.
The kitties look like they’re practicing their best Halloween Cat posts in these pictures. Hi kitties!
I do like the one story castle, but still….
