  1. I love that first MCM. I’m packing my bags now.

I wonder if that Quonset-hut-style house was actually a Quonset hut. There was a monastery in Utah that was built out of them after the war because they got them cheap. This was built in 1949, so maybe? Looks very nice inside, at any rate.

Wow, didn’t expect the movie theater home to be so nice.

Hahahaha, Utah. That house is (or was) owned by Lennon Ledbetter, who apparently bought it at a steal when it went into foreclosure. He and his family made a fortune in the cult of Amway and he moved on to other lucrative MLM opportunities. I believe there was some scandalous stuff about him, his wife, divorce… don’t know the details or if any of it was actually true, but I think maybe his ex-wife is still in business with his parents, while he’s doing other stuff?

  2. Neat post on clothing. I, too, *AM* a person with a sewing machine. I’ve made myself a few tops lately, but I’ve also learned that I’m currently better at sewing than I am at tailoring, so I need to practice that more.

I really like that SF cottage, especially the yard. Plus, it’s on Shakespeare Street? Sounds lovely. (Though small.)

Okay… a one-story castle? Odd. But it honestly does look & feel like a castle, which is awesome! But it’s in Australia, which comes with spiders-that-kill-you, and that is not awesome. I have so many mixed feelings about that house.

That Utah mansion can’t decide what it wants to be. Hobbit house or Japanese tea room? Video arcade or sports facility? I guess for nearly $30mil you don’t have to pick.

The kitties look like they’re practicing their best Halloween Cat posts in these pictures. Hi kitties!
