Misadventures in Stock Photography: Part the 83rd (BBFHG)

Apologies to anyone who was worried or disoriented by Friday’s linkity post going live at 3 pm CDT instead of its usual 2 am CDT! I typoed when I hit publish Thursday evening, then had no idea there was a problem until I got home Friday evening after helping my brother and sister-in-law move all day. Whoops.

Welcome to another edition of the Misadventures in Stock Photography! Today we’ll be meeting Bleached Blond Fabio Hair Guy (BBFHG). Many thanks to PD Singer for sending me the first few pictures of him! 🙂

Although he would’ve preferred to be

  1. I don’t think these are, strictly speaking, stock photos. EC has always had its own stable of cover models. Granted, the company draws upon them ad nauseam and probably photoshops them to death, but they are considered “Cavemen.” 🙂

  2. Oh, because of K.Z. Snow’s comment, I just realized all of these covers are from Ellora’s Cave… Never even noticed that as I was reading the sentences. Goes to show how much I pay attention LOL.

  3. May’s right this week. He’s creepy! His five o’clock shadow looks much darker than his hair, which looks photoshopped in almost all the shots. He also looks like he hates being a model and posing. Perhaps he lost a bet?

  4. I must defend Fabio’s honor. BBFHG has nothing on Fabio! Someone should tell him overprocessing isn’t good for his hair!
