Yup, I “buggered my blog”

Sorry to worry anyone who tried to access my blog over the last 18 hours. I managed to clobber it after upgrading WordPress yesterday afternoon. Whoops! Many thanks to Pao, who provided both the title of today’s post and the key information I needed to resolve the problem. Also thanks to Jeanne for reassurance and to MrsPao, for getting Pao on the case.

Of course, now that it’s fixed, I’m utterly unprepared to post today. Um…….

Deb of Chappysmom might have a contest – take a picture of your November calendar page, post it to your blog, and let her know. If enough people play, it’ll be a contest. If not, it’ll stay a meme. Deadline is November 15.

V’s daughter, Little A, dressed up as Mayhem for Halloween! So very, very cute – and I love her jack o’ lanterns, too.

Ok, back to cat pictures….

“Ha! Now I have you where I want you, big kitty! You won’t escape my paws now.”

“Look, May! A mouse!”

“Hee hee, she sure is easy to distract – and I don’t like that color anyway.”

  1. Oh good! You’re back in busniess!

Chaos seems to be an excellant parent. The first rule is ALWAYS “distract the baby!”

Little A always carves a pumpkin cat because our cat is named pumpkin (well that, and her neverending love for all things kitty!) I tell her you like it and her costume! 🙂

  2. Oh. I was a bit worried there for a sec! Phew!

Hee hee, just ’cause they’re “big kitties”, doesn’t mean they’re necessarily the “smart” ones, does it?! Atticus falls for Gandalf’s same ol’ dumb tricks everytime, then wonders why he gets ambushed!

  3. WP upgrade? Would that help me figure out how to edit my new WP sidebars? So far WP is actually worse than Blogger. Urg.

In sad news, my friend has to give back her newish kitten today. The kitten is rambunctious, and semi-feral to boot, and after a couple months her eight?-year-old cat couldn’t take it. Very, very sad. I’m happy to see that Chaos seems fine with his little girlfriend.

  4. Good, I thought my computer was acting up or something. Glad you fixed it, there’s nothing like having your blog go pear shaped (another British term I learned thanks to Jeff’s UK boss) to ruin your day.

  5. Okay, you know you’re a BLOG STAR when children of fellow bloggers dress up as your pets for Hallowe’en, name drawn out of a cup or not.

  6. Not only are you back, but the overlapping text problem I’ve had with your blog (for months) is fixed! Happy feelings all around. 🙂

  7. I told Syd to tell you how to fix it. You just needed to delete the extra function declairation on line 19 of the .PHP file the error was in.

It was so simple…I guess I need to teach you code.

  8. Whew. I checked last night when I posted my “most used knitted stuff” so I could be sure I had the link right, and “Whaaa??? Where’d she go?”
    So glad you’re BACK!
    (((hugs)))

  9. That would be me…woefully behind after my trip and then I click and you’re not here! Glad to hear it was just temporary. 🙂

  10. I’m considering moving to WordPress, but things like this scare me!

And once more, just let me say that Chaos and May are so totally cute together! It makes me want to get a kitten…. (NO, I didn’t say that!)

  11. I guess it was the night of the blog hiccups- because I nearly killed mine installing spam blockers. I got blitzed with spam yesterday and had to clean it all up. Glad you’re back.
