This is one of those Misadventureless Mondays I warned you about. 🙂

Busy busy weekend! Apparently, somewhere in my brain, it feels like spring to me, because I was a flurry of home improvement activity over the weekend. And I’m even mostly over the misinterpreted detour on Saturday that dumped me into the Mall of America parking ramp instead of at IKEA… Whoops. Sunday was rain, high winds, thunder and lightning, and multiple fire alarms in my building because of a leak in the roof that shorted out one of the alarms. Poor stressed kitties. Doesn’t Chaos look like a nervous wreck?

They arrive in the middle of a snowstorm and stop at the local diner to contact their uncle, where they meet Nate. Nate and his aunt help them contact Uncle Milt, and he agrees to help.

Jeremy and Nate hit it off quickly, but Jeremy runs when he’s made to believe their new home isn’t permanent. Nate goes after him, finds him, and convinces him that he’s wanted. However, just as Jeremy and Nate begin to trust each other, Petey’s estranged father appears and threatens to tear Jeremy’s new life and fledgling family apart.

  • We had sevenish inches of snow Wednesday night… and it will be 73F on Sunday.
  • Chaos’ cornea is healed! Still have to put ointment in his eye through Sunday. Giving him a treat after each application of ointment means he comes running and sometimes purrs throughout.

Tales from the Pittsburgh Penguins Locker Room: A Collection of the Greatest Penguins Stories Ever Told by Joe Starkey & Mike Lange. Good collection of anecdotes from current and former players, coaches, and more. My only real issue with the book was how randomly the anecdotes were organized within the time period sections, so my logical brain kept trying to detect a pattern where there was none to be found.

Aaron Costa’s summer was all planned.
