Ebook Giveaway: A Solid Core of Alpha by Amy Lane [CONTEST CLOSED]

Many thanks to Amy Lane for donating an ebook copy of her recently released science fiction m/m romance, A Solid Core of Alpha, for a lucky commenter to win!

In an act of heroism and self-sacrifice, Anderson Rawn’s sister saved him from the destruction of their tiny mining colony, but her actions condemned the thirteen-year-old to ten years of crushing loneliness on the hyperspace journey to a new home. Using electronics and desperation, Anderson creates a family to keep him company, but family isn’t always a blessing.

When Anderson finally arrives, C.J. Poulson greets him with curiosity and awe, because anyone who can survive a holocaust and reinvent holo-science is going to be a legend and right up C.J.’s alley. But the more C.J. investigates how Anderson endured the last ten years, the deeper he is drawn into a truly dangerous fantasy, one that offers the key to Anderson’s salvation – and his destruction.

In spite of his best intentions, C.J. can’t resist the terribly seductive Anderson. Their attraction threatens to destroy them, because the heart of a man who can survive the destruction of his people and retain his sense of self holds a solid core of alpha male that will not be denied.

Ebook Giveaway: Clear Water by Amy Lane [CONTEST CLOSED]

Many thanks to Amy Lane for donating an ebook copy of her forthcoming m/m romance, Clear Water, for a lucky commenter to win! Clear Water will be released on September 2 by Dreamspinner Press.

Meet Patrick Cleary: party boy, loser, and spaz. Patrick’s been trying desperately to transform himself, and the results have been so spectacular, they’ve almost killed him. Meet Wes “Whiskey” Keenan: he’s a field biologist wondering if it’s time to settle down. When the worst day of Patrick’s life ends with Whiskey saving it, Patrick and Whiskey find themselves sharing company and an impossibly small berth on the world’s tackiest houseboat.

Patrick needs to get his life together – and Whiskey wants to help – but Patrick is not entirely convinced it’s doable. He’s pretty sure he’s a freak of nature. But Whiskey, who works with real freaks of nature, thinks all Patrick needs is a little help to see the absolute beauty inside his spastic self, and Whiskey is all about volunteering. Between anomalous frogs, a homicidal ex-boyfriend, and Patrick’s own hangups, Whiskey’s going to need all of his patience and Patrick’s going to need to find the best of himself before these two men ever see clear water.

Ebook Giveaway: Lullaby for a Stolen Child by Anna Mayle [CONTEST CLOSED]

Many thanks to Anna Mayle for donating an ebook copy of her forthcoming paranormal m/m romance, Lullaby for a Stolen Child (Stolen Child #2), for a lucky commenter to win! Lullaby for a Stolen Child will be released by Resplendence Publishing on August 31.

They steal them away as children, drawn to their short but vibrant lives. They use them as dolls, slaves, entertainment of every kind, tasting the fierce brevity of human life through their captives. But there are times when a taste is not enough…

Where is the boundary between hate and love, love and lust, love and hate? Where do you draw the line between jealousy and longing? Is the passion of a killer the same as that of a lover?

And how can a human man hope to understand the ways of the two Fae who have turned his captivity upside down?

About Anna

I grew up in the woods and wild, in a place almost forgotten by time, I learned that the best moments in our existence are the ones filled with the spirit of the earth when you are surrounded by family. Even now, thirty years into my life, I find there is nothing more important than family and nothing more soothing than a quiet forest and softly flowing water.

Currently I make my home in Lansing in a place surrounded by trees and gardens and affectionately called The Nest. While work, writing and family take up much of my days, I also enjoy a variety of pastimes. Some are as mundane as reading, video games, working in the gardens, singing, dancing, sketching and swimming. Others such as medieval reenactments and various other forms of live role play might seem more exciting.

All in all, I’m a geek with a love of words surrounded by the comfort and affection of a close family and a tight knit group of friends. Life hasn’t always been easy, it never will be, but it is the adversity, as well as the caring in our days, that shapes who we are and will be.

In the end…no worries.

You can find out more about Anna at her website, her blog, and on Facebook.

From a very young age, Aldrich knew two things: he’d grow up to play professional hockey and he’d make his mentor fall in love with him. After years of hard work, both are within his grasp. Not only has a professional team called him up from his farm club, but the man he’s dreamed of for years has finally noticed him.

Then everything is brutally torn from him when he suffers a career-ending injury and finds himself dumped before the relationship has even really started. Depressed, he retreats to his childhood home, where he runs into his former best friend and hockey buddy, Nobel. They rekindle their friendship and grow closer…in more ways than one. Congrats to Jennifer, who won Song of Oestend by Marie SextonSong of Oestend will be released today by Total-E-Bound.

Welcome to another edition of the Misadventures in Stock Photography! Today we’ll be meeting a guy Jase named for me because I was stuck. So, here’s Thank You Sir, May I Please Have Another Guy (TYSMIPHAG) – a name that amuses me because it can have two very different meanings, depending on how you read the last word. 🙂

was busy

when he finally remembered

he’d made under the

after being rescued from

, when he was emotionally vulnerable and still felt like

. He’d been so happy to be

, to feel his life starting to shift back in to

, that he hadn’t questioned the need for

, nor the claim that,

it happened, it was

…and they were now bound together as

.

*tilts head quizzically*

Huh. I wonder what the first two promises were…
