In which I reveal the Mother’s Day card I received

Nicole’s hosting her Second Annual Bookwyrm’s Birthday Blog Bash! She’ll be offering three prizes: one each in the categories of knitting, reading, and writing. To get more details and participate, head on over by May 21.

Ok, since I decided that the bibs must go in the mail today, I stayed up way too late in order to finish knitting the second bib. As part of that, I sacrificed the time I was planning to use to write a witty, insightful post for y’all… not buying it? Darn it. (Yeah, I can wait for the snarky commentary to die down.)

Um… Look! Over there! The kitties gave me a Mother’s Day card! Wasn’t that sweet?

There were a lot of smudgy footprints on the envelope, so I’m sure it’s authentic. 😉

“Of course it is! Love you, Mom!” *purr purr purr* -Chaos

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Sweet card! Love the detail s’s 😉 Hope the bib-knitting went ok and you got them away (did the deadline keep the kitties safe from bib-posing?)

  2. Aww, so sweet! Hope your Mum shared a (belated?) Mother’s Day meal with you. The dogs over here, had their own grilled steak.

  3. Aw what a sweet card. I didn’t get one but someone who happens to live here with me and apparently thinks he’s the ruler of my sleep schedule (cough Bartholamew cough) did decide it was OK for me to sleep a little later than normal on Mother’s Day!

  4. Oh you guys are just too sweet. My animals just stopped giving cards. It got to be too much work for the humans!!

  5. Well, at least Chaos and Mayhem remembered. Esau just looked guilty and promised to make it up to me.

  6. When we had cats, they used to send mother’s and father’s day cards. And sometimes “I’m sorry I threw up tinfoil again” cards.

Then we had a baby. And mysteriously? The cats became illiterate again.

  7. Aw. Your cats can actually sign their names!? My Mother’s Day card from the feline contingent always has a paw print signature…

  8. You have such thoughtful kitties. I have eight cats and do you think I received a single card? I think I’ll leave this post up for them to see so they can feel the appropriate amount of guilt!

  9. Hokey smokes, it’s been a while since I’ve had time to read some blogs! Those kitties are so sweet… and that tp is hilarous.

  10. I was just directed to your site, as I am known as a fervent lover of black kitties and of purple. I can already tell I’m going to love it.
