I started with the Southern Vampire series and fell in love with the genre. Not so much the other paranormals but the vampire romances are fabulous. I tried to read a Merry Gentry book but the whole fae thing doesn't really float my boat. Oh, and I see what you mean about the ardeur...it does get tiresome.
