  1. “Reindeer fawns are born with dark fur that absorbs radiant heat from the sun, which is important in the chilly northern regions where Reindeer live. ”

I like learning new things 🙂

  2. I saw that bird/men/flirting thing the other day. Sooo funny! And so true.

I like dejunking, but that minimalism stuff is just too extreme.

Thanks to the show “Fortitude”, I learned about muscimol. I will never think of reindeer in the same way again.

  3. More snow and ‘nearly impossible travel conditions’! Oh, poor you.
(It’s probably not the best time to mention that here the blossom is coming out on the trees, the daffodils are blooming, and the birdsong is deafening.)

  4. Alas, poor May. Woe.

I love Neil Gaiman for his defense of fanfiction. I love his reaction to it. But I truly adore that bit at the end. 😀

And I love Seanan McGuire for slapping some sense into me. I had typed in my reply about Gaiman’s link that I don’t read fanfic. That’s not actually true. I read (and love) fairy tale retellings, and what are those if not fanfic? I’m going to spread the McGuire link about a bit more. Fanfic gets a bad rap, but it’s part of who we ALL are, like it or not.

Lastly… I love that “Death comes for Minerva McGonagall” link. I didn’t want to read it because it sounded sad… but it is perfect.
