My usual mobile feed reader, gReader Pro, went wonky on me last weekend and wouldn’t connect to Feedly anymore. I switched to the Feedly Reader, which is ok, except… I keep making some motion that marks chunks of my feed as read and I can’t figure out how to turn that off. ARGH.

Reading Update
Ask Me: 100 Essential Poems of William Stafford by William Stafford (Kim Stafford, ed). I had to jot down many phrases and entire poems in my notebook whilst reading this, and I’ve already made an art journal page for some of them…
Incredible Good Fortune: New Poems by Ursula K Le Guin. This was really mixed for me – I desperately wanted to love all of the poems, but only a few resonated with me.
Humans Wanted, edited by Vivian Caethe. Probably 2.5 stars. As with most collections, there were good stories and not-so-good stories. However, I don’t feel as if the book managed to capture the essence or magic of the “humans are so weird, but in a good way” post on tumblr. So if that’s what you’re hoping for….. 🙁

So glad to hear you got a kitty cafe! The only one in Utah is just 2 blocks from my house. It opened in November, and has already adopted out something like 35 cats. And they have a “Crochet With Cats” class on Sundays. (I assume they’re actually crocheting with yarn, not cat fur. But in the company of cats.) We’ve been over there to have coffee and snacks and watch the kitties through the window, but haven’t paid to go inside to play with them.
Never hear Döstädning, and it should be Dödstädning so dunno what that guy is talking about

The book spreads in the bullet journal you linked to are cool. That person does way more reading in a week/month than I do, though! My monthly single drawn bookshelf is plenty for me most of the time.
Also those are some interesting tips on reading faster. I know I’m guilty of some of the slow-down habits, but I really don’t want to read as fast as Travolta’s character in Phenomenon (especially if it comes with the rest of it — I remember what happens in that movie).
RIP to the myth of the fanboy. It’s time that piece of nonsense stayed dead.
And speaking of death… the idea of death-cleaning is cool and neat and slightly morbid. But I hope my parents do it, because right now their house is rather… cluttered.

I used to death clean my house every time I came home from visiting my father, the king of clutter. Now I need other inspiration. I’m a little disappointed in the chocolate knife. I just want to cut something, then stick it in my mouth and bite it off to the shock and amazement of my friends…

I agree with you about ‘Humans Wanted’ not matching the tumblr posts, I found it a bit disappointing because of that. The one story that has stuck with me though since I read the collection in November is the one with the kidnapped child. I’ve just checked its details and it’s ‘Sidekick’ by Jody Lynn Nye, so I really should try something else by this author. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
