  • Hey! Leave a comment if you get a chance – sometimes blogging feels like talking into a void… Thanks to all of you who comment regularly, particularly on the Misadventures and Linkity, which take the most time to put together!

The sign on the wall (click the pic to embiggen) was a gift from my family… Um, thanks?! 😉

  1. Feel the love… Love your Fridays. Always read them. Should let you know more often how much your are appreciated!

  2. Haha, love the translations of Danish cities, I think we have a few more that would work in a funny way, must check. There are a few on there that leaves me blank though, I can’t figure out what city they are talking about, must find a map :p

  3. Chris- Linkity is a huge undertaking, and I for one, wouldn’t know what day of the week it was otherwise.

Love the colour names, and the weird Canada experiences.

  4. I have family in the Twin Cities, and although this winter in New York has been the WORST, you all definitely win. (There’s a rumor it’s going back below freezing next week. *sigh*)

It’s convenient for me to be posting when you linked back to me, but I do actually read your linkity posts every week! 🙂

  5. Here are a few things I loved this week!

20 beloved bands, rendered in Lego (with slideshow):

The story of 17-year-old heart transplant candidate Sam Tageson and his one-day contract with the San Jose Sharks this past Tuesday:

Sam’s Instagram photos of the day are here: http://sharks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=710322&navid=TW

Interesting story about the rise of California-born players in the NHL (focusing on Sharks rookie Matt Nieto and his lifelong friendship with
    the Anaheim Ducks’ Emerson Etem):

  6. Duck Duck Grey Duck – sheesh. People in Minnesota are wierd. I love the NdeGT with Pluto. There is a good profile of him in the New Yorker in the past couple of weeks. (It’s one of the three still on my kitchen table, so I can’t be more precise.) And I will buy one of the stick family snack stickers if I can. I love it.

  7. Ugh for the spring day!
I do like to pick and choose the linkity’s – the book covers gave a good chuckle this week.
    Wishing you warmer weather!

  8. Due to the time difference, linkity is a great way to end the work-week for me. I’m always amazed at the amount of linkity you put together.

  9. Chris, you HAVE to get May and Chaos some paints!! 😀

Loved the World Photography Award link but that Barbie sculpture is going to give me nightmares. (probably as bad as the ones you’ll get at the thought of Mayhem & Chaos painting a masterpiece all over your apartment!)

  10. Sorry I haven’t been commenting; things have been stressful.

    Those book titles and covers…yowza.

Hope you get spring soon! We’ve had a super warm winter, but no rain. The drought is bad.

Chaos, my mom’s cat follows my mom and the vacuum around the house. I can hear her trash talking you from Wisconsin.

  11. I hope spring arrives soon for you (and all my Twin Cities friends). I won’t tell you about the blooming flowers and trees here.

Thanks for your Friday post, I spread the Linkity reading out over the weekend.

  12. I tend to get so caught up in the clicking of the links that I forget to click and comment too. I love your linkities and the saying in your pic.

  13. Winter is Coming! (For me 🙂 So I figure spring is coming for you 🙂

And the dinosaur eating the stick family = hilarious! I. Want.

Ah Chaos, the vacuum cleaner is a hazard…

  14. 1. Everybody Poops is an EXCELLENT book, one that every pre-schooler on the planet loves. What 5-yo doesn’t giggle at the word poop?
    b. I remember the painting cats book. I think it was based on a website of the same name.
III. Check your email. I have a story.
