Beware! There’s a dangerous predator hiding in the grape ivy.

Karen’s celebrating her new blog home with a contest – guess how many yards of finished 2-ply yarn she’ll get from the pictured bobbins and you could win some fibery goodies. Contest closes at midnight, March 5. Please note that the English translation of the post starts right after the photo.

The Largehearted Boy is giving away a set of Monty Python’s Flying Circus Megaset dvds. Leave a comment about your favorite television comedy character by March 4 to enter.

Just a heads up so there are fewer injuries this time around – I will be posting about knitting tomorrow. You have been warned. 😉

Wow – talk about an amazing transformation from garage to gorgeous crafting room!

Doodling might actually increase focus and concentration. *saves this one for work*

Lifehacker has an interesting list of ten useful tools for your blog.

Here’s an intriguing do-it-yourself cat bed/scratcher.

An ebook LOL that’s probably most amusing to those of us who read some variety of romance.

Hmm, maybe the paranormal romance genre’s a little out of control? Hee hee.

Literary Escapism has a truly amazing summary of forthcoming urban fantasy and paranormal romance releases, upcoming author interviews, and more.

Reading Update
Mine to Possess and Hostage to Pleasure (Psy-Changelings, Books 4-5) by Nalini Singh. Surely you’re tired of listening me to wax rhapsodic about this author and series? Don’t forget that Angel’s Blood, the first book in the Guild Hunter series, comes out tomorrow. You can also read an interview with Nalini Singh at Bitten by Books and maybe win a copy of Angel’s Blood!
In Too Deep (The Men of T-FLAC, The Wrights: Book 4) and Hot Ice (The Men of T-FLAC, Book 7) by Cherry Adair. Hmm, I think I’m all caught up through Book 10 in this series now. Books 8-10 were definitely my favorites – love those anti-terrorist wizardly Edge Brothers. (But I think Hot Ice has a major plot inconsistency that surfaces nearly at the end, alas.)
The Good, the Bad, and the Sexy by Emily Carmichael. Enjoyable non-paranormal romance about a movie star hiding out at a ranch in Arizona with his incorrigible tween daughter.

Oh no! Be very, very careful passing near the grape ivy as you attempt to water it…

“I am a fierce panther girl, lying in wait for my prey, the wicked and wily furry pink mouse! Quake in fear, FPM!” -Mayhem

  1. Wonderful panther you have got there! 😉
Thanks for the link, and good thing you have pre-warned me! I’ll be ready for the knitting then!

  2. *sigh* You know, I wish I had that kind of craftiness to transform unused space into something…usable!

Oh noes! It’s the elusive FPM-hunting panther! Watch as she crouches; she uses her surroundings to confuse her prey. Wait! She has been shooed away by her mother! The hunt will wait for another day. Instead, she heads for the watering hole…Let’s watch.

  3. I still insist that knitting is better than doodling for focus and concentration during talks in which I’m supposed to be looking at a screen.

  4. Hey Panther girl…did you catch FPM?
I am drooling over that craft room! I don’t even have a garage, my sewing space is down in the basement.

  5. Wow, she’s hidden well!

I had seen that about doodling, and I feel vindicated for all those notes I took with little doodles in the edges. It was the only thing that kept me awake in some classes. I feel the same way about knitting, and I think my husband finally understands that if he wants me to listen to him, I’d better have my knitting.

  6. Are you still buried in snow? (makes for great knitting/reading time).
Ah May – you make a great panther.. and no, we can’t see you at all!

  7. Thank you for the Lifehacker link. Much of it I’ll admit I don’t understand, but I want to check out that bit about people stealing your feeds! Ugh!

May looks like she might be a main character in one of those paranormal books you’ve listed…stalking her prey and who knows what else happens while you’re at work! Maybe the pink furry mouse is not just a pink furry mouse?!

  8. Chris- Beware of feral panthers in the houseplants.

And I wanted to tell you that last night I had a dream about removing that cherry from the spoon. Crazy.

  9. That garage transformation is remarkable, however, I think I’d prefer to have a garage where I might park my car!

Oh cats, they’re a bit when it comes to hiding.

  10. Love the ebook LOL. But I do want to be able to see the words clearer, and see if I recognize any of them… 😉

I’m amazed that FPM has lasted as long as it has. Unless the FPMes are breeding…

  11. Knitting content? I try to put knitting content on my blog, but it often turns into running content or cooking content. I think your knitting content magically morphs into even more book content!

  12. It’s good to know you won’t be running out of reading material any time soon.

Maybe someday if Rick ever gets a separate building for a workshop, I could make part of the garage into a craft room. That craft room looks really nice.

Uh oh, there’s a panther lurking in the grape ivy jungle. Be careful or the panther may change her mind and stalk some yarn.
