Knitbloggers are herd animals. Who knew?

As you may have read already, Wendy was in town for the opening of the Bohus Exhibit at the American Swedish Institute. Catherine and her husband hosted a party in Wendy’s honor at their condo, which had the most amazing view of downtown Minneapolis. (Please excuse the graininess of my pictures – I was using the “available light” setting on my camera for most of the shots.)

Here’s a picture of the knitbloggers gathered together (yes, I know, everyone who was there has a variation of this picture on their blog – but in this one, my eyes are open!) – from the left, Wendy, kmkat, me, and Susan.

And now… the blackmail shots! 😉 Probably best if no one tells Lucy that her mom was consorting with strange Ragdolls, hmm?

Over the weekend, I stopped at IKEA and couldn’t resist picking up a new cat bed. I think Chaos likes it.

“Don’t let that paw get any closer to my new cat bed, Mayhem!” -Chaos

“But Mom bought that for both of us, big kitty!” -Mayhem

  1. Ah! I KNEW there were blackmail photos somewhere! Thanks again for taking me to the airport. I wish I lived closer so we could hang out more often!

  2. Haven’t seen the Bohus yet, i think I’m going to take an afternoon off and stroll at my leisure. Of course, I tried to sign up for the all day workshop way too late.

  3. Looks like a fabulous weekend was had by all! I’m planning a trip home while the exhibit is still running. That cat bed is just fabulous! Talk about camouflage.

  4. Looks like a good time! I hope the exhibit was good too. Hopefully Lucy won’t see the photos of Wendy and the “other ragdoll.”

Nice cat bed! It seems to fit Chaos really well. May will just have to hang on the dining table. 😉

  5. That’s a great picture of ALL of you — the best one, I think! (And yes, I’ve seen it on all the relevant blogs….) 😉

Kmkat had the Special Feature Handy-Dandy Knitting In The Wild identification guide, though, and when she said “Wollmeise”, I had to embiggen to see — sure enough, it looked familiar!

The cat bed is awesome. Not available on website; hmmm. I so rarely get up there to the Cities, especially in winter. Maybe my brother (or more likely, my sister-in-law) can make an Ikea run on my behalf so that my black kitteh can disguise herself too (she’d like it). They have two black cats as well, bet they’d like one also. (Now they’ll be all out, wait and see.)

  6. We have that cat bed too so when Chaos nips over he’ll have to evict Ariel from it 🙂

Knit blogger meet ups are such fun 🙂

  7. We have been unsuccessful in any attempt to persuade our cats to use cat beds. Their reply: “AHEM? My ‘cat bed’ is the middle one-third of your own bed, foolish human. Now scoot over!”

  8. Nice cat bed! Plus there’s nothing like a bed that matches your fur. I think you need one more though.

Looks like it was a fun party! Have you gone to the exhibit yet?

  9. I think knitters are more like pack animals than herd animals. Though is someone were to mention “yarn sale”, we would stampede…. 🙂
