Tequila Sunrise, Tequila Sunset

The Tequila Sunrise Socks are done! First a cat-free picture, for those of you who actually want to see the knitting.

While it is a bit of a pain to separate the two strands of yarn in the Knit Picks Sock Blanks (the blanks are knit double-stranded), you sure do get nice matchy-matchy.

“Nope. Those aren’t treats. Sigh.” -Chaos

“I don’t know how Mom can call these socks matchy-matchy. Sigh.” -Mayhem

  1. That first catless photo was one out of about 50 pictures trying to get one without them in it.. right? Or is it a clever cropping job? Also.. I approve of the matchy-matchy.

  2. Why would you think we’d want to see the actual knitting? 🙂

Very cool socks. And I love that they match. I’m okay with handpaints that don’t match, but stripey socks have to match for me.

  3. Your socks–“tequila sunrise”–but I’m interested in the title that includes “tequila sunset”–is that what will happen when you are wearing the socks?

    They do look delicious.

  4. Gah! I hate trying to separate strands when unravelling. Probably why we had nine people here over the Christmas holidays unknotting CajunGuy’s alpaca. I find it so stressful.

Maybe some of the stress comes from the fact that at the time of the unravelling I’m already upset that I screwed up something… there’s a thought.

  5. I love the socks! I can’t believe the kitties are so grumpy around such cheerful socks–they’re even striped! Perhaps you need to wash them and leave them wet in the sink; then May would think they are great.

  6. They look pretty matchy matchy to me. And now I’m thinking tonight would be a good night to go home, mix a fruity sunshiny cocktail, turn the heat WAY up, put on some shorts & read a trashy book!

  7. Great socks! I need to pull out of some of my bright sock yarn (umm, after I finish the pair on the needles and being ignored) and knit some super cheery socks! An anodyne to winter.

  8. Oh I like them! They’re perfect for those dreary winter days.

I don’t know. May’s toys are pretty close. They coordinate well at least.

  9. You know what would make those socks even better? If they came with a little drink umbrella. 🙂

They look great. Just the thing for winter!

  10. Wow! I’ve been wondering how those sock blanks would turn out and they are awesome! I can only think that the kitties thought they were so awesome they had to bring them offerings 🙂
