Welcome to another edition of the Misadventures in Stock Photography, in which we’ll be catching up with Everywhere Guy (aka Jimmy Thomas). Today’s Misadventure will once again focus on his covers from a single publisher, albeit a different publisher than that of his previous Misadventure. πŸ™‚

I’m strangely out of breath after writing that one-sentence Misadventure… I hope no one tried to read it out loud! πŸ˜‰

  1. okay…I had to go back and read it again because I couldn’t stop laughing after “not a creature was stirring…not even a Back Door Santa!!!!” Bravo, Chris!!! Mayhem should be in awe of your “Misadventures” talent:)

  2. I think Everywhere Guy is an appropriate name for him. I went to his website and looked at his portfolio and boom! Tons of book covers.

  3. I’m flummoxed! First I thought First Foot was like, you know, the first 12 inches? And they were twins, see, but one’s missing, so there’d be another Foot out there somewhere to, umm, find, right? But the commments make it sound like Finding the First Foot is a bad thing, so maybe I’m wrong.

Also, what evil, sadistic, photoshopping fool did the cover for All Hallow’s Eve? That blond boy looks like he snatched that wig off Linda Tripp! It even looks like the girl on the cover is saying “Oh, you poor, poor baby! Here, take my wig!”

  4. that was one extremely long run-on sentence. lol!!! And the other guy on the cover of All Hallow’s Eve…WTF is with his hair?? It’s a bad 80s do!!!

  5. I didn’t know werewolves were kept in zoos! See, I always learn something when I read these stories (not the least of which is how to employ punctuation creatively). πŸ™‚

What’s Chaos been up to lately? I just recently had gill implants so I can breathe when I go outside the house.

  6. LOL! He really is everywhere. But now I want to know what happened to the second foot.

Is hair really that hard. What is that on the head of the guy on the right in Werewolf at the Zoo?

  7. Wow. I pretty much lost it after the covers for All Hallows Eve and On the Wings of a Vampire. They do not give these books a good image at all, and while we are supposed to judge. Well, I’m here, juding.

  9. I just loved your…sentence.

As I was intrigued that you linked to the model’s website, I took the bait and hopped on over. He is kind of a looker, isn’t he? I ended up at his stock photography site (!) and was disappointed to read that the only male model he has or wants is himself, but he’s always looking for “beautiful/gorgeous women” to model for his stock covers.

Wouldn’t he have some great covers if he actually posed with some beautiful/gorgeous men?

  10. The photoshopping is so bad on the All Hallow’s Eve cover – poor EG looks like he’s wearing hair extensions. They’re so obviously a different color black then his actual hair. And what is behind the creepy blond guy’s head? Almost look like a black graduation cap. :-O

  11. Ok, amazing control was required to keep reading after Back Door Santa, but I think I lost it with All Hallows Eve – the blonde’s hair just about did me in!

  12. Everywhere Guy is, indeed, everywhere.

And I’m with May. The cover of A Blaze? Scarily, the man’s biceps, if looked at sideways, are the same…ummmm…shape as certain *cough* atributes of the women *blushes*

    *hides*
